At Green Forestry Solutions we utilize forestry mulching in
our land clearing methods and here are the benefits:

One step process...

  • No burning.
  • No hauling.
  • Mulched ground covering will add needed moisture and
    nutrients to the soil.
  • Mulch also reduces erosion and water run off, leaving
    little to no exposed dirt.
  • We use low ground pressure machines that will not
damage underground root systems or leave ruts and
    tracks.

Traditional vs. Mulching

Traditional methods to land clearing typically includes heavy
equipment which increases the cost and damage to a job.
The use of this large, heavy machinery will leave unsightly
ruts and possibly even damage underground roots.
Damaging these roots
can kill the surrounding trees and can
also
lead to erosion problems.  The removal of trees with
heavy machinery can also leave unsightly piles of slash,
branches, tree trunks, roots, and stumps that must be burned
and also removed.  The burning of slash will emit carbon,
scar the soil, sterilizing the ground and killing everything in

the topsoil of
the burned area.

To reduce all the added cost of traditional methods, Green
Forestry Solutions uses one or two small machines and
operators that can clear one to three acres
completely each
work day.  Not only will we reduce time on the job and the
environmental impact, but also leave your property
with one to four inches of mulch ground covering.  Stumps
are mulched to below ground level.  The mulch will reduce
the water runoff and keep the needed moisture and nutrients
in the soil.  If the mulch is not desired we will remove it
completely or leave the mulch piled to be used later by the
landowner for landscaping.  We leave your property with
a park like appearance.

Reduce Risks of Forest Fire
Protect your investments from
forest
and wild fires.

In these times of drought our
natural areas are more prone
to fires.
Underbrush is the fuel in a
wild
fire.
By reducing underbrush the
chances of fires are greatly
reduced and much easier for
fire fighters to extinguish.

By clearing fire break lines
you can contain fires to smaller
areas and away from homes
and
communities
